MOHAWK VALLEY BLUES SOCIETY
As most of you know, a severe and dangerous thunderstorm forced us to shut down our MVBS picnic held on August 24, 2025. As a result we did not have a chance to hold the drawing to determine the winner of the 50-50 raffle. We did draw a winning ticket during a Facebook Live Event, and posted the winning ticket both on FB and here. As no one claimed the prize, the MVBS donated the proceeds of the drawing of $133.00 to the Utica Food Pantry.

The Mohawk Valley Blues Society has hosted monthly blues jams, several major blues festivals, school presentations, charity events and concerts by touring blues artists, including Magic Slim and the Teardrops, Carl Weathersby, the Holmes Brothers, C.J. Chenier and the Red Hot Lousiana Band, Sharee Williams, Coco Montoya, Duke Robillard and Jerry Portnoy, Lil' Ed and the Blues Imperials, John Hammond, the Nighthawks, Jimmy Thackery, Roxanne Potvin, Dave Gross, and many others.
